AWS or Azure: Which Cloud Certification Should You Start With?

Both AWS and Microsoft Azure certifications are well recognised. The right choice depends on your goals.

Consider your target employers

Look at job postings in your area and industry. Which cloud appears more often for the roles you want?

Consider your background

• Professionals from Microsoft-centric environments often find Azure familiar
• Developers working with startups and cloud-native products frequently encounter AWS

Start with fundamentals

Cloud concepts transfer between providers. Learning networking, identity, storage and cost management first makes any certification easier.

Our suggestion

Choose one provider, earn an associate-level certification with plenty of hands-on practice, then broaden your knowledge. Depth first, breadth second.
